Caring for your gems
Fine jewellery is a precious possession that will last a lifetime. Proper care will ensure that your gems retain their highest quality.
Here are some guidelines for day-to-day care: Jewellery should not be tossed in a heap or placed too close together. One gemstone may scratch another or the metal mountings may be damaged. Each jewellery item should have its own soft bag. Pearls, Turquoise, and Coral are easily damaged by perfume, colognes. deodorants, and hair sprays. Soap or detergent may cause other gemstones to lose their lustre and brilliance.
Dust and grime in the air can dull the appearance of jewellery. Jewel cases and drawers should always be kept closed.
